What is counselling?
Counselling offers a safe, non-judgemental, confidential space... just for you... to think and talk about anything which may feel confusing, uncomfortable, painful or distressing. As a counsellor I will not judge, criticise or tell you what to do, but will help you explore your feelings, thoughts and personal experiences to help you move forward.
Counsellors understand that it's not always easy to talk about what may be happening for you, or to express your feelings at first, but they will support you and help you work through it. A competent counsellor will help you get in touch with your inner resources and strength, enabling you manage life more effectively, feel more in control and facilitate your own personal change, growth and healing.
Different ways I work
I offer open ended and long term work, and can on occasions provide single session therapy. I work with individual adults, and couples, both face to face and online video conferencing via zoom to people based in the UK. I am an experienced qualified supervisor of therapeutic work for both students and experienced practitioners alike.
